Perfect in your Mouth: Dulce de leche tartlet

If you ever find yourself in downtown Los Angeles, it is very important as a part of your adventure to visit Bottega Louie on 7th Street. A friend recently treated me to lunch and a dessert. I tried their Lobster Hash and a dulce de leche tartlet from their bakery.

The Lobster Hash was delicious and I ate it in 5 minutes. This isn't about the decadent Lobster Hash, with its flavorful tiny potato pieces, or the expertly crafted poached eggs... This is about the tartlet. Adorable, delicious, perfect...

Its velvety caramel inside was creamy and rich. I've always hated granola on a pie or cheesecake, and whatever Bottega Louie is doing, I hope they keep doing it. The sweet macaron on top looks like there is a tiny sliver of gold on top of it. It is beyond words to explain the contrasting crunchy texture with the gooey center. There is a tinge of tart hence the namesake, perhaps.
I hope some of you make it a point to try this delicious treat.

DJ P0N-3 is Spinning Tracks

For some reason, I have been thinking about songs from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic's Equestria Girls: Rainbow Rocks. Right now, I'm listening to the songs on YouTube (just search for Rainbow Rocks songs and something will pop up. It's really interesting to me that I would be so into the second Equestria girls movie. Perhaps it is because Daniel Ingram's talent for composing the songs is improving with every season, or it could be that the content is evolving as the audience gets older. Whatever the case may be, I love it! The songs from Rainbow Rocks were soooo good and easy to bob one's head to and to sing along with.
As much as I love the Maine Six, their songs are very wholesome and cute. Don't get me wrong I love all of the songs in this movie by the Mane 6... But it's really the Dazzlings' songs that made it for me. I love that the villains can sing. There hasn't been a good villain song since Evil Princes Cadance (i.e. Queen Chrysalis of the Changelings).

The songs that started the earworm that is making me press replay is "Awesome As I Want To Be"... I am indeed as awesome as I want to be. Even though my ego is easier to deflate than Rainbow Dash's, the boost of confidence and empowerment. No matter how humble or shy you are, it's' good to toot your own horn, pat yourself in the back, celebrate how awesome you are!

In the running for Most Surprising lyrics that Hasbro approved, and 2nd earwom, for a beloved anti- hero,, Trixie's "Tricks Up My Sleeve". I can really imagine someone doing a rap cover of this sing over a beat. It would please me if someone did this. I'll re-blog you...

I think that's all I want to share for now... My Little Pony might be for little kids, but their content surely have matured as the age of their target demographic gets older... (Or I'm talking out of my ass.... the music is still awesome!)

Star Wars Earrings!

I am not as big of a Star Wars fan as I want people to think, but I still have an appreciation for the series nonetheless. One of the coolest things about any series is the fandom. It can be awe inspiring when people share a common passion. It may not be sports, but the burning desire to be around the same thing, such as Star Wars, can bring people closer together.

Today, someone posted that they hand crafted these fantastic looking Star Wars earrings! Even though they did not say who they are and have a peculiar way of collecting sales, I wish them luck and hope to see photos of people wearing them soon!
